Dear Denise – Tips from the make up bag!
Last month I received many questions about Affusion products and thought they would be very informative for everyone.  

Are any of your products tested on animals and if any of your products have animal ingredient or are you free of all and any animal cruelty and vegan company? 

There are no animal ingredients in any of our products – make up or skin care. We do not test on any animals.  Both skin care and makeup are vegan.  Soy products are not used for two reasons: many people have allergies to soy products, and many medical experts tell women who have had breast cancer to stay away from soy. 

Do any of your products contain any dies, any fillers, any perfumes, any oils, any alcohol, any preservatives (organic) or any chemicals?

There are no dyes or fillers in the skin care or make up. The only perfumes are essential oils. Our products have a clean citrus scent from the presence of the organic fruit juice and essential oils. Since there are no synthetic fragrances in our products, there are also no phthalates! The oils used in our products are expeller pressed sunflower, safflower, almond, and Shea Butter.  Our preservative blend (1/2%) is a mixture consisting of Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, and Potassium Sorbate. I opted for this after some studies found parabens in Grapefruit Seed Extract. Skin care, like food, will perish very quickly if there is no preservative.  Our skin care has a 2 ½ year shelf life. Preservatives are a necessity! Without them, skin care can go bad, leaving mold and other unwanted germs in your cosmetics!

Does your product contain any talc, any parabens, phthalates, and any bismuth oxychloride?

There are no parabens (again, why I quit using Grapefruit Seed Extract as my preservative), no phthalates, and no bismuth oxychloride.  There are also no petroleum products, talc, or carmines.

Does it contain any corn starch? Will it spoil or does it degrade or harbor any bacteria?

There is no corn starch.  Neither the skin care nor the makeup will spoil or harbor bacteria for 2 ½ years.  

Is your product non- acnegenic (wont clog pores) and non-comedogenic?

It will not clog pores, and is non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. 

Do any of your products contain gluten?
No, none of our products contain gluten. I have several customers with celiac disease and gluten intolerance that use my products now.

Is it sweat and water proof?

It holds up well to sweat and water.

Is it hypoallergenic? YES

Does it contain SPF and if so is that all 100% pure and natural?

Due to the ingredients in the makeup, it will help protect against sunburn. I cannot tell the SPF simply because I have not had it tested for a certain number.

Is all of your make up 100% all pure and natural? YES

Is it healthy on all skin types and can use on all skin types? YES

Is it FDA approved?

The FDA does not approve skin care, to my knowledge. It does surpass any rules put out by the FDA for purity.  Sweden and Japan have banned the use of parabens. The UK is the next country to be concerned about parabens. I pass these countries’ guidelines also.

Do you sell your products just online or do you have a store where people can buy it too? 

My products are only available online. I have filmed my first 2 minute infomercial on the Herbal Replenishing Cream PM. I am hoping that it will be airing this fall.
